This is a great tour for those who love outdoor activities. Horseback riding is combined with visits to important archaeological sites near Cusco. We offer two different tours: Route 1 visits the well-known archaeological sites near Cusco, while Route 2 takes us a little further from the classic path including some unique archaeological sites that are not visited often. Both tours depart daily.
ITINERARY:
This day we will pick you up from your accommodation at 10:00 am and then go with our transport to the ranch that is located near Qenqo 2 kilometers from Saqsayhuaman, it is there where we will find the horses and the muleteer who will accompany us throughout the cavalcade. The horseback ride starts from the hacienda that takes us to the archaeological center of Qenqo and ends in Sacsayhuaman, you will have a wonderful view of the ruins, After visiting the ruins we will have a small dirt road next to the road, until we reach the center archaeological site of Puca Pucara “The Red Door”, a place that was used as an entrance to the city of Cusco in the time of the Incas, then we visited Tambomachay, also known as “The house of the Inca baths”, it was also used for the cult of water. Finally we return through a forest that is full of Eucalyptus trees, before arriving at the ranch we visit the famous Inca temple “Sacsayhuaman” which is the place where the Incas worshiped the Sun.
