Get an up-close look at the wonderful geology of a mountain range filled with natural pigments produced by erosion of the antiquity and melting of thousands of years. Walk on it, enjoy fresh air and feel the energy of the Apus.
ITINERARY:
06:30 a.m. Pick up of passengers from your hotels
07:00 a.m. Tour start
08:30 a.m. Breakfast in Cusipata
09:30 a.m. Visit of the Checacupe colonial bridge
Then we continue with the transport for an hour and a half more until we reach the beginning of the walk that will be at 4,800 meters above sea level. During this journey we will see the natural breeding places of llamas and alpacas.
We start walking for a period of 30 minutes accompanied by the guide. Already in the upper part we will be able to observe very closely the natural pigments and their geological formations, in turn, we will be able to tour the stone forest and observe part of the red valley, which is located in the same place.
After touring the Palccoyo Mountain we will return to the Cusipata district where we will have lunch and then return to Cusco, where we arrive at 05:00 p.m. – 05:30 p.m.
