ITINERARY:

Day 01: Cusco – Town of Aguas Calientes

In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel and go to the railway station located in Ollantaytambo, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Cusco. There you will board a train and travel for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, experience spectacular landscapes passing through lush fields and colorful towns located in the foothills of the Andes. The highlights of the trail are the wonderful views of the mountains and the Urubamba River that runs through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After your tour, you will arrive in Aguas Calientes, a town just below Machu Picchu, where our representative receives you at the railway station to accompany you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free so you can visit the thermal baths (hot springs) and the charming surroundings of Aguas Calientes.

Day 02: Machu Picchu – Cusco

In the morning, after your breakfast, our guide will be waiting for you and then accompany you during the visit of Machu Picchu, they will go to the bus station in Aguas Calientes, to ascend 400m high for 30 minutes until reaching the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. Upon arrival at the citadel of Machu Picchu we will go through the control where you will deliver your entrance ticket and also start the guided tour, visit the main sites of the city such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Rooms Royals, the Temple of the Three Windows and the Inca Quarries, the guided tour will last approximately two hours.

At the end of the Guided visit, you will be given free time to take a walk through the citadel and visit Machu Picchu, then return to the town of Aguas Calientes to enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo (you must be at the station 30 minutes before the departure time of your train). In Ollantaytambo, our transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour and a half trip).

Can I book my own hotels?

Absolutely. If you look at the PRICES, you will see that there is a price for including three-star hotels and another for not having hotels. We can also recommend you any other hotel and book it for you, just speak to your sales representative and she can quote any of the hotels in Cusco and the Sacred Valley for you.

Are flights included?

Unfortunately not. Flights are not included in the price of the tour.

How many people will be part of my tour group?

Our organized itineraries, like this 4-day tour of the Cusco region, are generally done as individual reservations. While others can join you if you are interested in the same day, the groups will always be small, up to a maximum of 12 people. Private groups are also very easily accommodated.

Can I take my luggage to Machu Picchu?

All larger luggage must remain in Cusco and can be stored at your hotel or with us in our warehouse. The train to Aguas Calientes only allows small bags on board.
