Machu Picchu With Maras Moray 2 Day

An excellent package where we will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas, that includes a visit to Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras, enjoying on the way the landscape of cultivation of corn, potatoes, goose and animals in the area before arriving at the wonderful work of Inca engineering Machu Picchu.

We will combine the experience of visiting the concentric terraces of Moray (A large agricultural laboratory) and the countless salt shafts full of color and texture in Maras, all this before boarding our train to Aguas Calientes, from where we can ascend to the ruins Machu Picchu and receive the first rays of the sun.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Moray – Salineras – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We will start our tour with the pick up from your hotel between 6:30 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. This excursion will combine the cultural experiences of the peoples of the Sacred Valley, We will know more about the adaptation of food plants in Moray and the community exploitation of the Salt Mines in Maras knowing throughout the journey archaeological sites and Natural landscapes, chain of snowy mountains such as Verónica, Chicón among others. Starting at 7:00 am the tour will start.

We will have as our first point of visit the Archaeological Zone and textile center located in Chinchero. Then we will visit the Moray Archaeological Park, considered the Inca Experimental Laboratory, then we will go through the town of Maras and we will also visit the Salt Mines, a place where salt has been produced since ancient times; to then head to the Urubamba Village where we will stop for lunch (optional).

After lunch we go to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes. Arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes we will go to our accommodation.

Día 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco

After breakfast, we will pick you up to board the bus heading to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, if you have included the Entrance Ticket to visit the Huayna Picchu Mountain you can do the walk for approximately 2 hours round trip (This tour is without Guide). The guided tour in the citadel of Machu Picchu will be recording the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal rooms, the temple of the Three Windows and the quarries, for more than two hours approximately. Later you will also be given free time to walk around the citadel, take photographs and relax in this magical and mystical place.

We will descend towards Aguas Calientes and we will take the train back to the Ollantaytambo station, where our staff will be waiting for you, to get back to Cusco.
