During the tour to Moray and Salt Mines of Maras, you can visit the Sacred Valley by an alternate route that will take you to the town of Chinchero, Moray and Maras, you will enjoy incredible landscapes, especially in the months of November to March since it is the rainy season and the fields are dressed in incredible green.
Get to know the Maras salt mines, where you can take incredible photographs of the landscape and buy the best souvenirs, and then visit the Moray terraces.
ITINERARY:
We will meet at the indicated time at our meeting point, and then take the vehicle that will transport us, passing through an artisan community in Chinchero where we will see the treatment of llama wool, to our first destination: the Maras mines (entrance no. included). The guide will explain the salt extraction process and we will have time to take photographs. Then, we will move to Moray, an agricultural laboratory that the Quechua used to experiment with crops from the different regions in which they were present. We will be able to walk the trails enabled to take photographs and feel the variation of climate according to the depth of the terraces, which come to have a difference of 150 m between the lowest and highest point.
Once the 6-hour tour is complete, we will return to Cusco in our vehicle, arriving in the city center.
